Duties
Establish a respectful and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with state and district standards.
Teach reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills in Spanish at varying proficiency levels.
Incorporate cultural studies of Spanish-speaking countries to enhance language learning.
Design and administer formative and summative assessments to evaluate student progress.
Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents regarding performance and growth.
Collaborate with fellow teachers, counselors, and administrators to support student success.
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student performance, behavior, and progress.
Participate in professional development workshops, language immersion experiences, and in-service training.
Stay updated on best practices in foreign language instruction and education technology tools.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress.
Ensure compliance with school policies, academic standards, and ethical guidelines.
Qualifications
Shall hold a valid certification for teaching a foreign language grades 7-12.
Demonstrated ability to read, write, understand, and in the case of living languages, speak
the language.

JOB GOAL: To motivate each pupil to develop competencies, knowledge and skills in aurally comprehending, speaking, reading and writing a foreign language, in accordance with each pupil’s ability; to interpret to pupils the culture of the countries where foreign language is spoken; to discover and develop special talents of pupils in offering language communication.
EVALUATION: Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Master Agreement on Evaluation of Teaching Personnel.
