Duties
Elementary School Principal at Wilson Creek (PreK-1st Grade)
- Demonstrate support for the mission, beliefs, and goals of MSD114
- Provide vision and leadership to ensure high-quality teaching and learning
- Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of curriculum and instructional programs
- Use student achievement data to guide instructional decisions and continuous school improvement
- Support teachers through observation, evaluation, coaching, and professional development
- Promote and sustain a safe, respectful, and inclusive school environment
- Implement student discipline procedures that are fair, consistent, and aligned with restorative practices
- Foster social-emotional learning and support systems to address the diverse needs of students
- Encourage collaboration, innovation, and shared leadership among staff
- Recruit, hire, and retain high-quality staff members
- Supervise and evaluate certified and classified personnel
- Provide opportunities for professional growth and capacity building for staff
- Cultivate a positive, collaborative culture that values teamwork and continuous improvement
- Oversee day-to-day building operations, including scheduling, facilities management, and student activities
- Ensure compliance with district policies, state and federal regulations, and reporting requirements
- Manage budgets and resources effectively to support school goals
- Lead crisis management, safety drills, and emergency preparedness
- Maintain open and transparent communication with families regarding student progress, school programs, and district initiatives
- Build strong partnerships with parents, guardians, and community organizations
- Represent the school positively within the Manhattan School District 114 community'
- Encourage family engagement in school activities, events, and decision-making
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent
Salary/Benefits
Minimum Salary: $100,000 based on education and experience
Benefits align with district administrative guidelines and Board of Education policy
