Wood Dale School District 7 is seeking a dedicated, student-centered Junior High Language Arts Teacher to serve 8th-grade students. The ideal candidate will deliver rigorous English Language Arts instruction while supporting multilingual learners through effective ESL strategies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver standards-based English Language Arts instruction
- Integrate reading, writing, speaking, and listening to promote literacy development
- Provide targeted language support for multilingual learners using ESL strategies
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse academic and language proficiency needs
- Use data to monitor student progress and inform instructional decisions
- Create an inclusive environment that values students' cultural and linguistic backgrounds
- Collaborate with ESL/bilingual staff, special education staff, and grade-level teams
- Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress
- Participate in professional learning communities and ongoing professional development
