Duties

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated K–4 Resource Special Education Teacher who will partner closely with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to support the academic, social, and emotional growth of students with individualized learning needs.
The K–4 Resource Special Education Teacher is responsible for providing targeted, individualized, and small-group instruction in a supportive resource setting, as well as supporting students within the general education classroom as appropriate. This role focuses on implementing IEP goals, fostering student independence, and ensuring access to grade-level curriculum through differentiated instruction and evidence-based interventions.
- Provide direct specialized instruction in reading, writing, math, and executive functioning skills aligned with students’ IEP goals
- Support students in both resource and general education settings through co-teaching, push-in, and pull-out service delivery models
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers to adapt and modify curriculum to meet diverse learner needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs, including progress monitoring and data-driven decision-making
- Maintain consistent, proactive, and collaborative communication with families regarding student growth, supports, and progress toward goals
- Utilize formative and summative assessment data to guide instruction, adjust interventions, and track student progress
- Create a structured, supportive, and positive learning environment that promotes student confidence, independence, and self-advocacy
- Implement positive behavior supports and instructional strategies that promote engagement, regulation, and success
- Integrate assistive technology and instructional tools to enhance access, engagement, and learning outcomes for students
Qualifications
Must hold a current, valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with an LBS1 Endorsement.
Salary/Benefits
