Duties
Sangamon Valley CUSD #9 is looking for an organizational leader with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and the community at large. The primary responsibility of the teacher will be a running a self-contained third grade classroom to help all learners acquire the knowledge, skills, attitudes, values, and personal esteem for life-long learning in a changing world.
Qualifications
(1) A valid Illinois professional educator license with an LBS 1 endorsement, or ability to obtain; (2) such alternatives to these qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable.
Salary/Benefits
As established by the SVEA Collective Bargaining Agreement. Current starting base salary is $41,291, with board paid TRS and Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO insurance. The SVEA will be negotiating a new contract this spring. Salary is commensurate with experience. Coaching and extra duty opportunities are available.
Additional Notes
The Special Education Position available will support students on the Illiopolis campus. Students range in ages from third-eight grade.
