Duties
Sangamon Valley CUSD #9 is looking for a classroom teacher with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and the community at large. The primary responsibility of the teacher will be a running a self-contained third grade classroom to help all learners acquire the knowledge, skills, attitudes, values, and personal esteem for life-long learning in a changing world.
Qualifications
(1) A valid Illinois professional educator license; (2) such alternatives to these qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable.
Salary/Benefits
As established by the SVEA Collective Bargaining Agreement. Current starting base salary is $41,291, with board paid TRS and Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO insurance. The SVEA will be negotiating a new contract this spring. Salary is commensurate with experience. Coaching and extra duty opportunities are available.
