Duties
Warrensburg-Latham School District is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Special Education Teacher to be split between the middle and high school for the 2025-2026 school year. Candidates need to have a valid Illinois Professional Educator License. We are looking for a candidate who has expertise and experience in Special Education. Qualifications
Candidate must have a PEL. Candidate must possess strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams. Candidate must demonstrate patience, empathy, and adaptability in responding to diverse learning needs and behavioral challenges. Strong organizational skills are essential for managing individualized education plans (IEPs), tracking student progress, and implementing tailored instructional strategies. The ability to differentiate instruction, integrate assistive technologies, and create a supportive, inclusive classroom environment is key. Additionally, an understanding of various disabilities and evidence-based practices to ensure students receive the appropriate support to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
Salary/Benefits
Certified salary and benefits can be reviewed via the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Full-time certified staff members may apply to have their out of district children enroll in Warrensburg-Latham CUSD #11 pending superintendent approval.

Warrensburg-Latham CUSD #11 is a district of approximately 1000 students. We have a very supportive staff and school community. WLMS was recently honored to be Exemplary, meaning they were ranked Top 10% school in the state.
