Position Overview

Marian Catholic High School is seeking a highly motivated and passionate Science teacher who is interested in joining our school community during the 2nd semester of the 2025-2026 school year which is a Catholic, coeducational, college preparatory high school within the Dominican tradition of study, prayer, community, and preaching. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging and differentiated lesson plans aligned with state standards and curriculum guidelines.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters student growth and development.
  • Assess student learning through a variety of methods (e.g., quizzes, tests, projects, observations) and provide timely and constructive feedback.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of all students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to ensure student success.
  • Maintain accurate student records and communicate effectively with parents/guardians.
  • Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute positively to the overall school community.

 

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science Education or a related field required.
  • Valid state teaching certification required.
  • Proven experience in teaching high school students preferred.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Strong classroom management and discipline skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
  • Passion for student learning and a commitment to professional growth.
  • Proficiency in using technology in the classroom.

Salary/Benefits

Salary: Minimum $43,100 pro-rated for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year with opportunity for higher base salary depending on experience, education level, and credential.
