Duties
To carry out programming and intensive services for children prenatal to three and their families in Rock Island County under the direction of the Rock Island County Regional Office of Education Early Childhood Administrative team. Bi-weekly personal visits and maintaining accurate records will be expected. Additional responsibilities include the following: provide social emotional screenings for children enrolled in the Prevention Initiative Program through the use of developmental screenings with the Ages and Stages-3, educate parents on developmentally appropriate practices for children birth to three, model appropriate activities and positive behavior management techniques at all times, and work with applicable agency staff to develop activities and services for parents and children that promote family engagement and cooperation in the early education of their child.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Education or Social Services field preferred. The successful candidate will have early childhood experience with an emphasis in working with children birth to three and their families. Bilingual capabilities would be an additional asset. Must have the ability to work occasional evenings.
