Duties
The Department of Leadership, Educational Psychology and Foundations (LEPF) at Northern Illinois University (NIU) is seeking qualified applicants for the anticipated position of Clinical Assistant Professor of Educational Administration with expertise in school and district-level leadership. The LEPF department is one of six units in the College of Education at NIU and offers four administrative degrees: M.S.Ed., Principal Preparation; M.S.Ed., Chief School Business Official; Ed.S., Superintendent Preparation; and Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies.

The Clinical Assistant Professor of Educational Administration will teach in-person and/or online graduate courses in educational administration, leadership, and policy in the Principal Preparation Program, the Superintendent Preparation Program, and occasionally the Chief School Business Official Preparation Program, and they will supervise graduate students during their required internships. The Clinical Assistant Professor will also provide service to the university, college, department, and professional community, including participating in recruitment, admissions decisions, serving on dissertation committees and/or curriculum committees.
- Teach graduate courses in the principal and superintendent licensure programs both online and in-person
- Supervise graduate student interns in administrator preparation programs
- Travel to intern sites
- Collaborate with school districts and professional associations both regionally and nationally
- Teach evenings and some weekends
Salary/Benefits
Commensurate with experience and qualifications, starting at $68,000; NIU offers a robust benefits package.
