Agriculture Education Teacher APPLY ONLINE Share: Print: Duties Instruction and Curriculum Develop and Deliver Instruction: Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities, aligned with state and national standards. Differentiate Instruction: Employ a variety of teaching methods, including direct instruction, collaborative projects, laboratory experiences (where applicable), and technology integration, to meet the needs of all students, including those with IEPs or 504 plans. Curriculum Development: Participate in the review and development of curriculum materials, instructional goals, and course outlines in collaboration with department colleagues. Assessment: Design, administer, and grade various forms of assessment (formative and summative) to evaluate student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback. Analyze data from assessments to inform and adjust instruction. Classroom Management and Student Support Maintain a Learning Environment: Establish and maintain a well-managed, safe, and engaging classroom environment conducive to learning, upholding school-wide rules and behavioral expectations. Student Mentorship: Act as an advisor and mentor for students, offering academic support, guidance on post-secondary planning (college, career, and military), and fostering positive social skills. Supervision: Supervise students in various school settings, including the classroom, hallways, cafeteria, and during school activities. Professionalism and Collaboration Communication: Maintain open, effective, and timely communication with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues regarding student progress, behavioral issues, and school-related information. Collaboration: Actively participate in departmental, school-wide, and staff meetings. Collaborate with special education teachers, counselors, and administrators to support student needs. Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional learning to stay current with best practices in pedagogy, subject-matter expertise, and educational technology. Extracurricular Involvement: Sponsoring a student club or activity, or coaching a sport is encouraged, but may be optional depending on school needs. Qualifications Required Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Certification/Licensure: Valid state teaching certification/license for the assigned subject area and grade levels (9-12). Knowledge: Expertise in the relevant academic subject matter Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
