Duties
Fisher Junior/Senior High School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Junior High School Math Teacher to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching 7th and 8th grade math, including Algebra I while fostering a positive and engaging learning environment, and supporting the academic growth of each student. The ideal candidate will be committed to helping students develop strong foundational math skills that prepare them for high school coursework.
Duties:

Plan and deliver engaging math instruction aligned to state standards for 7th and 8th grade.

Develop lesson plans that support differentiated learning styles and student needs.

Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction.

Maintain a positive, structured, and safe classroom environment.

Integrate real-world applications, technology, and hands-on learning where appropriate.

Collaborate with fellow junior high staff, special education teams, and administrators to support student success.

Provide timely communication with parents/guardians regarding academic progress and classroom expectations.

Participate in professional development, school initiatives, and staff meetings.

Uphold school policies and contribute to a positive school culture.

Perform assigned supervisory duties (hallway, lunch, extracurricular support as needed).
