Duties
Byron High School is seeking an energetic, skilled, and student-centered Engineering Instructor for the 2026-2027 school year.
The ideal candidate will inspire students to explore the principles and practices of engineering through hands-on, project-based learning, fostering critical thinking, problem-solving, and innovation. This role involves curriculum development, classroom instruction, and the mentorship of future engineers.
Courses taught:
- CADD 1 / 2
- Intro to Engineering
- Principals of Engineering
- Consumer Economics, if necessary
- Monitor and assess student progress through assignments, projects, and exams, providing constructive feedback and academic/career guidance.Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom/lab environment that promotes respect, collaboration, and student engagement.Work effectively with administrators, other teachers, and industry partners to enhance the engineering program, stay current with industry trends, and participate in professional development opportunities.
Salary/Benefits
Salary and benefits are commensurate with the Byron Education Association (BEA) contract and years of experience. Byron CUSD #226 offers competitive compensation, professional development opportunities, and supportive working conditions.
