Duties
Description: ROE 45 is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Classroom Educator to join our team. We are open to hiring either a Certified Teacher or a Teacher’s Assistant, depending on candidate qualifications and experience. This position plays a vital role in supporting student learning, fostering a positive classroom environment, and helping every student reach their potential as well as providing everyday assistance for the students and teachers.
Responsibilities
- Support the planning and delivery of engaging, standards-based lessons.
- Work collaboratively with the classroom teacher and/or instructional team.
- Provide individualized or small-group instruction to reinforce learning objectives.
- Assist in managing classroom behavior and maintaining a safe, supportive environment.
- Support students’ academic, social, and emotional growth.
- Monitor student progress and assist with grading or classroom documentation as needed.
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and families.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
For Certified Teacher Candidates:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
- Valid state teaching certification (or eligibility for certification).
- Strong instructional, communication, and classroom management skills.
For Teacher’s Assistant Candidates:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or higher preferred).
- Experience working with children or in an educational setting is preferred.
- Willingness to learn instructional strategies and support classroom activities.
- Valid paraprofessional license (or eligibility for certification)
