Duties
Responsible for keeping district accounting records.
Assists with administering and accounting for all grant funds.
Assists with obtaining information in preparation of the annual budget.
Completes other financial information and reports to the Superintendent.
Responsible for keeping all district payroll records, calculating timesheets, preparing payroll, and printing checks.
Acts as the employee benefits coordinator.
Responsible for completing payment of payroll taxes.
Responsible for completing payments on behalf of employees for TRS and IMRF.
Prepares the Annual TRS Report of Earnings.
Prepares 941 quarterly reports.
Prepares IDES monthly and quarterly reports.
Prepares W-2s annually.
Prepares ACA data and distributes to employees.
Prepares 1099 forms annually.
Works with retiring employees to prepare and file all required forms.
Responsible for collecting employees' paid time off records to match with payroll.
Coordinates the district property insurance claims and the district health insurance plan.
Receives and inputs all state and federal funds.
Receives and inputs all tax distributions.
Receives vendor invoices/bills, inputs payment amounts into TeacherEase, and ensures prompt payment.
Prepares financial bank reconciliation with assistance from Board Treasurer each month.
Performs basic payroll and accounting-type tasks as required, including gathering and depositing funds.
Prepares contracts and worksheets for certified and non-certified employees. Enters contract information into the TeacherEase.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. Experience in school financial management, accounting, or bookkeeping preferred.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and school accounting systems (e.g., TeacherEase, Skyward, SDS, or similar). Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Salary/Benefits
$25-$30 Per Hour Based on Experience
