Duties

Braceville Elementary School is seeking a dedicated and qualified Fifth-Grade Long-Term Substitute Teacher to cover a planned maternity leave. The successful candidate will be responsible for assuming all duties of the regular classroom teacher, including instructional delivery, classroom management, and communication with students, parents, and staff. This role requires a professional, organized, and proactive individual who can create and maintain a positive and effective learning environment for a small group of fifth-grade students.

Qualifications

• Substitute Teacher Credentials

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field from an accredited college or university.

• Valid teaching certification/license for the state of Illinois.

• Experience teaching at the elementary level.

• Knowledge of fifth-grade curriculum and instructional best practices.

• Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students.

• Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to adapt to an existing classroom environment and a new school culture.

Salary/Benefits

Collective Barganing Agreement per diem.
