Duties

To help each participating student achieve a high level of skill, an appreciation for the values of discipline, academics, and sportsmanship, and an increased level of self-esteem. These positions are renewed on a yearly basis by the Board of Education.

Qualifications

1.  High School Diploma or equivalent required.
2. Knowledge of the activity and of the rules of the activity.
3. Establish and maintain effective and courteous working relationships with those contacted in the course of work (students, parents, and staff).
4. Ability to understand and follow basic oral and written instructions.
5. Ability to communicate to students, parents and staff in an acceptable/courteous manner 
6. Enforce school regulations and policies in a professional manner.
7. Follow IESA/IHSA coaching qualifications established by state governing bodies.
