Middle School Bilingual ESL Science Teacher- $3,500 HIRING INCENTIVE

VACANCY:  The Valley View Public School District is seeking an individual to fill a full-time Bilingual ESL Science teaching position for the 2025-2026 school year.
 
JOB SUMMARY:  The teacher is responsible to the Building Principal for: planning instructional lessons that meet the needs, interests and abilities of students; creating a classroom environment that is conducive to learning; and employing effective instructional techniques.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:          

  • Applicants must hold a State of Illinois (PEL) Professional Educator License with an endorsement in Science and with a Bilingual/ESL Endorsements 
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
  • Knowledgeable in ESL teaching methods, curriculum, materials and instructional assessments
  • Previous teaching experience with Bilingual/ESL students
  • Successful High School teaching experience (preferred)
  • Demonstrated skill in diagnosing, prescribing, assessing student learning, and appropriate record keeping
  • Knowledge of current teaching techniques
  • Applicants must be able to structure a classroom to maximize student learning
  • Willingness to participate in co-curricular program as sponsor, supervisor or coach

Salary/Benefits

Salary is in accordance with the teacher salary schedule.
