Duties

Overview: 
Under the direction of the school principal and Lead Transitional Specialist, the Vocational Teacher is directly responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive vocational program for students at Black  Hawk Area Education Center (BHAEC). The Vocational Teacher provides evaluation designs for situational vocational assessments within the school workshop and community environments and coordinates educational and supportive services necessary to implement each student’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP) with integrity and provide an appropriate transition program.

Qualifications

Job Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, secondary level preferred.  Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a LBS1 endorsement.

Salary/Benefits

Salary and Benefits: $45,891 – $75,974 (BHASED CBA with Salary Range and Benefits); Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance. TRS position.
