Duties

Specific Functions:

• Supervise students in designated areas before the school day begins.
• Ensure a safe and orderly environment by enforcing school rules and expectations.
• Engage with students in a positive and supportive manner.
• Assist in resolving minor conflicts and refer disciplinary issues to appropriate school staff.
• Communicate effectively with school administration, teachers, and parents as needed.
• Maintain an organized and structured setting for students during the morning period.
• Respond to emergencies and follow school protocols for safety and security.
• Assist with transitions to classrooms at the start of the school day.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (some college coursework in education or child development preferred).
• Previous experience working with children or in a school setting is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain order and ensure a safe environment.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work early morning hours.

Job Summary:
The Morning Care Monitor is responsible for supervising and ensuring the safety of students who arrive early to school. This individual will create a welcoming and structured environment, monitor student behavior, and enforce school policies before the start of the academic day.
