Duties
Responsibilities:
Enhance the educational and developmental potential of students with developmental and/or physical impairments within their educational environment.
- To assume the responsibility for evaluating students and establishing treatment programs for students who require occupational therapy services at school.
- OT must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively, have great organizational and planning skills, and be reliable.
- To participate as a team member with the certified occupational therapist assistant (COTA), local school district personnel, other disciplines, and central office staff, as well as work in collaboration with team members to implement best practice approaches for functional educational outcomes.
- To provide in-service programs on occupational therapy, when necessary.
- The OT supervisor and the Director will assign specific job responsibilities based on the job description.
Qualifications
Current IDFPR Licensure, NBCOT Certification
Salary/Benefits
The school calendar will be assigned upon hiring. Central Office Hours are Monday-Thursday 8:15 a.m. -3:45 p.m., Friday 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
The salary is commensurate with experience, and salary and benefits are regionally competitive.
