Duties
Under the general supervision of the building principal, develop in each student an appreciation of the art of music as part of general culture; to teach techniques of vocal and/or instrumental music expression; to discover and develop talents of pupils in the field of music; to develop knowledge and skills in listening to and reading music.
Qualifications
? Applicants must hold the appropriate State of Illinois Teaching Certificate (Professional Educator License PEL).
? Successful teaching experience and knowledge of current teaching techniques
? Demonstrated skill in diagnosing, prescribing, assessing student learning, and appropriate record keeping
? Applicants must be able to structure a classroom to maximize student learning
? Applicants must be able to establish effective communication skills with a variety of stakeholders
Salary/Benefits
Per Professional Negotiated Agreement between the Board of Education of School District 143 and the Educators’ Association of School District #143.
