Duties

  1. Performs work which involves minor repairs requiring skill and ability in general trades.
  2. Assists with cleaning and repairs of heating and ventilating units and replaces filters.
  3. Repairs switches, fixtures, valves, faucets and drains.
  4. Repairs and/or replaces floors, windows, screens and furniture.
  5. Inspects and maintains operational and maintenance tools and equipment.
  6. Routinely inspects buildings and repairs malfunctioning equipment; notifies immediate supervisor or major repair needs.
  7. Physically capable and available to work overtime including weekends, public holidays, and evenings.
  8. Performs snow removal when required.
  9. Ability to accept, complete, track and monitor automated work orders.
  10. Performs operations and maintenance work as assigned.

Qualifications

Graduation from high school and/or technical school. One or more years of post-secondary vocational, technical school training or job related experience is preferred.

Salary/Benefits

12-month school year; salary and work hours established by the Board of Education.
