Duties
Norwood Elementary is looking for a fifth grade teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The person hired will be part of a 5 - 8 building. You must be able to plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program in a primary learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential. The ideal candidate will have a teacher certification in elementary education. Norwood Elementary serves around 150 students on the border of Peoria, IL, and rural Illinois. Qualifications
Certified Teacher - IL PEL or able to get an Illinois Professional Educator License. ELA &/or Social Studies Endorsement preferred, but not required.
