Duties
Description: The Faculty Secretary supports all faculty members with clerical tasks and provides substitute coordination for all staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists faculty with copying, printing, and word processing
- Maintains and operates all faculty workroom high-volume copiers and equipment
- Supervises faculty work areas and maintains supplies
- Manages incoming and outgoing mail during the school year
- Informs the Technology Department of equipment service issues
- Maintains an inventory of paper
- Transcribes and communicates meeting notes for faculty-related meetings and events
- Keeps the faculty workroom clean, organized and in functional order.
- Supports teacher professional development tracking in My Learning Plan and tracking professional development credits.
- Monitors KTI course completion and facilitates payment of staff
- Supports other offices in organizing and hosting Fall Open House, Scout Experience, Honors Night, and Graduation.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the direct supervisor
- Adheres to Board of Education policies and procedures
Substitute Coordination Responsibilities
- Monitors faculty and staff substitute requests and assigns/fills substitute vacancies
- Prepares and supports substitutes for scheduled assignments
- Maintains accurate absence and substitute work schedule records
- Effectively utilizes the sub management system and provides training to staff when necessary
- Maintains communication with the Human Resources Department and Payroll Department regarding substitute coordination
- Records and communicates substitute concerns and needs with appropriate staff
- Maintains ongoing communication with faculty, staff, and administrators regarding substitute processes, needs, and coordination
Qualifications
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience with Frontline Absence Management (formerly Aesop) - preferred
- Clerical and secretarial experience - preferred
- Experience with Google Workspace, office, and school-based management systems - preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and positive problem-solving attitude
- Comfortable and pleasant demeanor in busy environments
- Ability to:

Salary/Benefits
Starting Compensation Range: $19.00/hour
