Early Childhood Teacher

Duties

The candidate will plan, develop, and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and instructional activities aligned with Preschool for All Grant standards for children ages 3–5. The Preschool Teacher will create a nurturing, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment that supports the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth of every child.

Key Responsibilities & Skills:

  • Classroom Management: Establish and maintain a structured, safe, and positive learning environment that encourages independence, cooperation, and respect.

  • Lesson Planning: Design and implement creative, hands-on lessons that promote early literacy, math, science, and social development.

  • Child Development Knowledge: Apply understanding of early childhood development to meet the diverse needs of learners.

  • Behavior Guidance: Use positive reinforcement and developmentally appropriate strategies to support children’s behavior and self-regulation skills.

  • Parent Communication: Build strong partnerships with families through regular communication, conferences, and progress updates.

  • Creative Activities & Arts: Incorporate music, movement, dramatic play, and art to enhance learning and self-expression.

  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, support staff, and administration to ensure program success.

Qualifications

The successful candidate must have an Early Childhood Education licenses OR ECE credential. Special education approval and ESL highly appreciated not required.
