Duties
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated 6th Grade Science Teacher to join our team. As a pivotal member of our faculty, you will be responsible for delivering curriculum using OpenSciEd, fostering positive student relationships, and ensuring academic accountability in a supportive learning environment. New and experienced teachers will be supported through a mentoring program and assigned a mentor their first year in the building. Additionally, you will work one-on-one with a highly qualified science coach from the ROE (over 20+ days throughout the year) to master the curriculum and teaching skills.
Qualifications
Hold a valid teaching license or a bachelor's degree (willing to obtain a substitute license).
Salary/Benefits
Salary and benefits are set forth in the District's Collective Bargaining Agreement. Minimum first year teacher salary with a bachelor's degree is $42,876.
Additional Benefits Include:
12 Sick Days and 3 Personal Days
Tuition Reimbursement $150 per credit hour up to 15 hrs a year
Required percentage paid by Board for TRS
Additional Stipend for Coaching and Club Sponsors
