Duties
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Special Education Aide at Clinton High School. This full-time position (7.5 hrs daily, 9 month position (school year), paid between 180 - 185 days a year depending on school calendar). Position involves providing support to students with diverse learning needs in a collaborative educational environment. The ideal candidate will work closely with teachers and special education staff to facilitate a positive learning experience, ensuring that all students receive the assistance they need to thrive academically and socially.
Qualifications
- Assist teachers in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
- Provide one-on-one support to students in the classroom, helping them with academic tasks and social interactions.
- Monitor and document student progress, behavior, and engagement, reporting findings to teachers and special education staff.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge in special education practices.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding student information and adhere to all school policies and procedures.
Requirements
