Duties
Position Title: Junior High Teacher
Endorsement Required: English Language Arts/Social Studies(6-8) and Science Endorsement preferred (6-12)
Position Type: Full-Time
Start Date: 26-27 SY
Position Summary:
Lebanon CUSD #9 is seeking a passionate and dedicated Junior High Teacher who holds required endorsements in ELA/SS and preferred in Science . The ideal candidate will foster a positive learning environment, support academic growth, and collaborate with colleagues to deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction.
Key Responsibilities:
· Teach Junior High English Language Arts courses
· Provide instruction in Social Studies and/or Science as assigned
· Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with state standards
· Assess student learning and provide timely feedback
· Create a classroom environment that supports student engagement and growth
· Collaborate with grade-level teams and support staff
· Communicate effectively with students, parents, and administration
· Participate in professional development and school activities
Qualifications:
· Valid Illinois Professional Educator License
· Endorsement in English Language Arts/SS required
· Science endorsement preferred
· Strong classroom management and instructional skills
· Commitment to student-centered learning
· Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
