Duties
The Math Teacher will plan and teach engaging, standards-aligned lessons in assigned math courses. This includes creating meaningful practice and assessments, using a variety of strategies to support student understanding, and maintaining a positive, well-run classroom. The teacher should be able to meet the needs of all learners, monitor progress, and communicate regularly with parents and staff. Collaboration within the math department, participation in professional development, support of school initiatives, and completion of supervisory duties are expected. Most importantly, the teacher should help build a strong school culture and support our students every day.
Qualifications
Candidates should hold a valid Illinois PEL with the appropriate Math endorsement. We’re looking for someone who understands the Illinois Learning Standards for Math, can design clear and engaging lessons, manages a classroom well, and builds strong relationships with students. Good communication and teamwork are important, along with a commitment to meeting the needs of all learners and being an active, positive part of our school community.
