Duties
The Superintendent shall be the Chief Executive Officer for the District. He/she is responsible for the effective operation of the District; for the general administration of all instructional, business or other operations of the District; and for advising and making recommendations to the Board of Education with respect to such activities. He/she shall perform all the duties and accept all of the responsibilities usually required of a Superintendent as prescribed by the Illinois State Board of Education.
Qualifications

- ISBE Professional Educator License with Superintendent Endorsement (required by June 30, 2026)
- Principal evaluator designation (required by June 30, 2026)
- Teacher evaluator designation (required by June 30, 2026)
- Masters degree in Curriculum & Instructions and/or Educational Leadership with Superintendent Certification
- Five or more years demonstrated successful administrative experience working within the PreK - 12th grade environment (required)
Salary/Benefits
The Board of Education anticipates offering a base salary in the range of $120,000 to $150,000, depending on experience and qualifications. The district will pay the employee’s TRS/THIS contributions and provides a family medical, dental, and vision insurance package. A multi-year contract will be offered in accordance with Illinois statutes.

- has the ability to successfully apply the legal requirements involved in the administration and management of a public school district including labor relations and the management of the negotiated contract.
