Duties
Provide engaging physical education instruction to elementary students.
Promote physical fitness, teamwork, and healthy habits aligned with district goals and state standards.
Reports to the Building Principal.
Qualifications
Must hold a Professional Educator License from the Illinois State Board of Education with an
endorsement in Physical Education (K-12 or appropriate grade levels).
Strongly preferred: A background in sports and a willingness to coach or contribute to the school’s
athletic programs.
Salary/Benefits
Salary Schedule $42,411 - $79,875.
Board Paid Health Insurance $510 per month.
12 Sick Days and 2 Personal Days.
Tuition Reimbursement - $250 per semester hour.

Neoga is a small agricultural community located on I-57 between Effingham and Mattoon, offering
easy access to Chicago, Indianapolis, and St. Louis. Neoga is home to Lake Mattoon, just two miles
from town, and features local amenities including two medical clinics (Sarah Bush and Springfield
Clinic) and the Strong Beginnings Early Learning Center.
The Neoga School District serves approximately 500 students and employs two Principals and a Dean
of Students/Athletic Director, with a total staff of about 50 certified educators and 30 support staff.
New staff members are supported by mentoring, a collaborative administration, and opportunities for
professional growth. Coaching and extracurricular positions may be available for qualified candidates.
