Duties
Responsible for three sections of general education English language arts at the eighth grade level. Teaching at appropriate levels of difficulty. Assessing student progress and determining the need for additional reinforcement or adjustments to instructional plans/techniques/goals. Teaching specific learning objectives. Employing various teaching techniques, methods and principles of learning to best the needs of students and district learning outcomes. Using appropriate instructional technology to enhance student learning. Develop lesson plans that meet the state standards and school curriculum. Organizes classroom supplies and materials. Maintains a proper learning environment.
Qualifications
Candidate must hold a valid Professional Educators License with the state of Illinois.
Salary/Benefits
In accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Lockport District 91 Board of Education and the Lockport District 91 Teachers' Association.
Additional Notes
This teaching vacancy is due to a leave in accordance with the Family Medical Leave Act beginning in January 2025 until April 1.
