Duties
Due to retirement, the Astoria CUSD #1 School Board is seeking an exemplary superintendent/high school principal to lead the district that serves approximately 275 students Pre-K – 12th grade in west central Illinois. This opportunity offers being involved in an excellent community that is very proud of their school district and who care deeply about a strong education for their children. This position is unique in that it offers the opportunity to remain engaged with students, staff, and community and at the same time lead an entire staff of outstanding educators and support staff.
Characteristics that the candidate must possess and display: acts with integrity, fairness, and in an ethical manner, strong communication skills both written and verbal, curricular knowledge, school financial background, prudent decision-making skills, exceptional listening skills, must work well with others, possesses the ability to delegate, and a strong worth ethic. Experience preferred, but not required.
Qualifications
Must have or be eligible or possess Illinois Superintendent and Principal licensure.
Salary/Benefits
Salary/Benefits: Salary TBD by the Board. Full health, dental, vision, $30,000 life insurance policy and board paid TRS.
