Duties

  • Passionate about at-risk kids
  • Excellent communication and ability to multitask
  • Effective classroom management skills and strategies 
  • Ability to utilize digital technology and curriculum. Previous experience utilizing APEX or other digital/online education is preferred but not required
  • Plans daily instructional activities
  • Use trauma-informed techniques when communicating with students.  Must be capable of maintaining a positive attitude and displaying a caring concern toward children, parents, and coworkers
  • Monitor student attendance and maintain accurate files and records for each student
  • Stay current regarding professional practices
  • Demonstrates skills that facilitate positive rapport with students, parents, and other professionals.

Qualifications

A bachelor's Degree in teaching or a related field. We provide tuition assistance for the right candidate to pursue a teaching degree. A background in High School 

Math is preferred but not required.

Salary/Benefits

The Regional Office of Education 47 determines salary. Salaries are regionally competitive and will be discussed upon the position's offer.
