Duties

  • Applicant should be fluent in Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and MAC computers, using the Adobe Creative Cloud applications
  • Availability to participate in extracurricular activities related to film and media, such as film clubs, festivals, competitions, and after-school sports recordings
  • Proficient in Radio Broadcasting as well as the equipment used in Radio
  • A knowledge of LIVE studio broadcasting, including studio-based shows as well as on-location sports and drama-related events. 
  • Previous experience teaching film studies, media production, or related subjects at the high school level.
  • Demonstrated experience in film production, including directing, editing, cinematography, and screenwriting.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard film equipment and software.
  • Experience in curriculum development and lesson planning, preferably tailored to high school students.
  • Proficiency in film production techniques and equipment operation.
  • Organizational skills to manage classroom activities, projects, and events effectively.
  • Creativity and innovation to develop engaging lesson plans and projects.
  • Knowledge of current trends and developments in the film industry.
  • Passion for film and media education and a commitment to fostering students' creativity and critical thinking skills.

Qualifications

The qualified candidate will have a valid Illinois Professional Educator License  (PEL) with appropriate endorsement(s).
