Duties
Limestone Walters CCSD #316 has an opening for a full-time special education teacher with LBS1 certification beginning for the 2024-2025 school year. We are looking for a candidate who will create a positive learning environment that promotes the intellectual, personal, and social development of all students. They will work collaboratively with all staff and use data to determine learning priorities, monitor progress, and assess student achievement. Ultimately, they will help inspire children to achieve important learning milestones. Join our team for the opportunity to experience life as a LW Rocket.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Daily instruction and case manager to elementary school aged students
- Collaboration with teachers, parents, administration, and service staff
- Supports in the area of inclusion, co-teaching, and small group instruction
- Curriculum modifications and accommodations based on individual student need
- Data analysis to determine learning priorities, progress monitoring, and student achievement
- Social emotional and academic interventions in individual and small group settings
Qualifications
Applicants must have or be able to obtain a state of Illinois Professional Educator License with a LBS1 certification. They also must complete and pass a background check prior to employment.
