Duties
The North Cook Regional Office of Education (ROE)/Intermediate Service Center (ISC) is located in Des Plaines and collaborates and supports 39 public school districts and two special education cooperatives in the North Cook Region.
We are looking for experienced, professional, and creative consultants who have demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following areas and would be interested in becoming a part of our *roster when school districts and schools turn to us for customized, ongoing consultative or professional learning support for leaders and staff.
Potential Consultative Topics for Schools & Districts:
- Differentiation of instructional approaches
- Early literacy development
- Content area curriculum development and alignment to the learning standards:
- Math
- Science
- STEM
- ELA
- Social Sciences
- Visual arts
- Music
- Physical Education
- Health
- CTE
- Student assessment analysis and data dives (Illinois Assessment of Readiness, Illinois Science Assessment, KIDS, ACCESS, MAP, etc.)
- Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS)
- SEL development
Salary/Benefits
Consultative projects may span the course of one day, several weeks, or many months, depending on the need(s). Those interested in being a North Cook consultant in any of the areas listed below, should apply.
* Consultants are not employees of the North Cook ROE/ISC and do not receive benefits. All work created by hired consultants will remain the intellectual property of the contracted consultant. Contracts will be contingent upon the needs of the North Cook ROE/ISC and may be accepted or declined by the consultant on a per-project basis.
