Duties
South Beloit School District is looking for an Assistant Principal to partner with the High School Principal to administer the educational program at South Beloit High School.
Duties: Instructional Leadership
- Assist in the establishment of goals and objectives for the school.
- Provide leadership in planning, implementing and evaluating instructional programs.
- Provide leadership in teaching techniques, innovation and class organization.
- Manage specific academic departments as assigned.
Duties: Staff/Personnel
- Assist in the process of interviewing, evaluating, and selecting new staff members.
- Assist in the determination of staff needs.
- Prepare formal evaluations.
Duties: Curriculum Development
- Assist in the direction, supervision, and evaluation of the building instructional program.
- Assist in the maintenance and improvement of the instructional program by being responsible for teacher implementation of the curriculum.
- Assist with development and expansion of current Dual Credit programs.
Duties: Pupil Personnel
- Assist in the planning and implementing of programs for the health, safety and welfare of the students in the building.
- Enforce and establish disciplinary procedures which allows due process to the rights of students; familiarize students, staff, and parents with the disciplinary procedures.
- Compile the annual discipline report; revise annually the student handbook assigned by the building principal.
- Establish attendance procedures which allows due process to the rights of students; familiarizes students, staff, and parents with the attendance procedures.
- Coordinate services with School Resource Officer (SRO)
Duties: Resource Management
- Assist in the development and implementation of building policy and procedure as assigned by the building principal.
- Assume responsibilities for the safety and administration of the school when applicable as assigned.
- As assigned by the building principal, monitor the maintenance of the school and school facilities; assists in the security of the building; assists in the supervision of the classified employees.
Qualifications
Illinois Professional Educator License with General Administrative or Principal endorsement; Master's degree in educational leadership.
