Duties
Teach Self-contained elementary classroom (grade 5) with the possibility of 6th grade math if necessary. As this is a second 5th grade classroom, candidate would collaborate with the other 5th grade teacher to create student-centered classroom environments where instruction is differentiated and students are highly engaged in learning activities. Develop a student-driven active classroom environment in which the teacher becomes the facilitator of learning rather than the source of information.
Qualifications
Current Illinois Professional Educator License for teaching elementary self-contained classrooms (K-9). Candidate must excel in all forms of communication, collaborative learning relationships, and strong technology skills.
Salary/Benefits
Salary and benefits per the collective bargaining agreement.

Tri-Point CUSD #6J serves several small communities in Livingston, Ford, Iroquois, and Kankakee counties. Uniquely situated between Pontiac, Kankakee and Paxton, there are numerous opportunities for housing and proximity to nearby population centers. Coaching opportunities are available.
