Duties
Griggsville-Perry High School in Section 13 is looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic agriculture educator for the 2023-2024 school year.
Traditionally taught courses include (but are flexible based on the successful candidate’s knowledge, experience, and interests): Introduction to Agriculture Industry, Veterinary Technology, Agronomy, Horticulture, Agriculture Construction, Agriculture Mechanics, Natural Resources, and Agriculture Leadership & Communication.
The FFA chapter is very active and receives substantial support from the community. The mechanics shop is fully equipped with tools for metalworking, carpentry, electricity, and machinery maintenance. This school district has participated in the 3-Circle grant since its inception.
Qualifications
Successful candidates will possess an IL teaching license with an agriculture endorsement or will be able to obtain one by the fall of 2023.
Salary/Benefits
Teaching salary and FFA stipend are based on the salary schedule in the CBA.
