Duties
School Social Worker Intern: 25-26 School Year (August-June)
Reports To: School Social Worker Site Supervisor/Asst. Superintendent of Student Services
Essential Job Functions: Under the Supervision of a Certified School Social Work Supervisor, Intern will demonstrate:

Internship experiences will include the following:
Provision of Direct Services
- Counseling support for students-both individual and skills group
- Risk assessment and crisis support
- Providing consultation and training to staff and parents as needed
- Providing training for parents and staff as needed
- Participating in the development and implementation of mental health preventative strategies
Supporting efforts to build a responsive system through MTSS
- Demonstrating an understanding of individual and group counseling techniques
- Participating in building based and district level MTSS activities
- Engaging in SEL Data Day activities as part of the a larger MTSS system
- Selecting appropriate assessment instruments
- Conducting assessments appropriately
Designing Individualized Educational Programs
- Developing individualized goals and objectives based on assessment results providing long-range student planning
- Fully participating in the IEP process
Case Management
- Participating with the building Student Services Team
- Monitoring implementation of student I.E.P.s
- Managing and coordinating required paperwork
QUALIFICATIONS: • Enrolled in a Master's level school School Social work program leading toward state certification.
Salary Range: $8,000
