Share: Print: Duties Responsibilities:Prepare lesson plans, demonstrations, and materials for PLTW Engineering curriculum and career-relatedinstruction. Work cooperatively with a team of CTE teachers to ensure consistency of instruction. Coordinate, maintain inventories, and keep records of materials and equipment for classroom andlaboratory. Take necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities. Instruct students on skills related to engineering, aerospace, robotics, and other associated professions. Work cooperatively with staff to support a collaborative school culture. Communicate effectively, both written and verbal. Work cooperatively with teachers of all departments to support a collaborative school culture. Possess strong classroom management and organizational skills. Use research-based methods to develop engaging lessons that require a higher order of thinking. Accommodate students with a variety of skills, abilities, and challenges. PLTW course certification or the ability to get certified. Appropriate Illinois Professional Educator License and/or required Provisional Licensure. Qualifications PLTW course certification or the ability to get certified.
