Duties

Delivery of Services to Students to enhance health and wellness int the school community. Duties to be performed in accordance with standards of professional School Nurse practice, District policies, ISBE policies, and procedures in the Illinois State Law regarding Nursing Practice.

Qualifications

Minimal qualifications:
• Registered Nurse with a bachelor degree [RN, BSN]
• Licensed in the State of Illinois
Preferred Qualifications:
• Licensed Registered Nurse with a Bachelor's degree and the School Nurse Certificate
• Certified School Nurse (type 73 licensure by ISBE) in the state of Illinois
• Prior school nursing and/or rehab experience is recommended.
• Certified in Hearing & Vision Screening
Consideration will be given if the applicant has a BSN and is willing to obtain the ISBE Type 73 Pupil Personnel Service School Nurse Certificate. Current Registered Nurse licensure with the State of Illinois, BA in Nursing, and Illinois Type 73 Pupil Personnel Service certificate are all among the qualifications looked for. Preference will be given to those with current ISBE School Nurse certificate. Also prefer experience with School Health services and/or Rehabilitation.
