Duties
Schlarman Academy is searching for a suitable candidate to fill the role of full-time High School Spanish Teacher for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year. An ideal candidate will have good parental communication skills, be highly organized, knowledgeable in Spanish education, have a bachelor’s degree, and IL teacher certification. Retired teachers may also apply.
- The teacher will contribute to the community of faith of the school and provide faith leadership to students.
- The teacher plans for effective classroom instruction based on students’ needs.
- The teacher effectively implements teaching plans and conducts classes in a manner which promotes student learning.
- The teacher maintains student discipline so that learning goals can be accomplished, organizes classroom routines and schedules, and keeps adequate records.
- The teacher supervises students for extracurricular activities and moderates student activities assigned by the principal.
- The teacher interacts with students/parents in a positive manner.
- The teacher evaluates students according to school policies using standardized tests, teacher made tests, and special assignments or projects.
- The teacher prepares grades and meets with parents as necessary to report students’ progress.
- The teacher meets professional requirements and attempts professional growth. The teacher is ethical in dealing with parents, students, and other staff members.
- The teacher performs other tasks and undertakes other responsibilities necessary to provide quality education in the school as requested by the principal.
