Share: Print: Duties Facilitate the delivery of tiered interventions in Reading and Mathematics for eligible students. Prepare, deliver, and record progress monitoring materials and data for students in Tier II and Tier IIIlevels of support. Monitor progress and analyze data for determining level of support services with the goal of dismissalfrom tiered intervention support services. Prepare and disseminate documentation required to assist in the planning and programming ofintervention services. Participate in building-level data team meetings to ensure appropriate identification, provision ofservices for and assessment of students within the multi-tiered system of supports. Facilitate increased productive communication and collaboration between home and school for eligiblestudents. Employs a variety of instructional techniques, instructional media, and performance assessments, whichguide the learning process toward academic achievement and curriculum goals. Establishes clear objectives for all lessons, curricular units, and projects and communicates theseobjectives to the students. Assesses the accomplishments of students in a variety of ways on a regular basis and provides progressreports as required. Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrativeregulations. Administers and analyzes standardized testing data and adjusts instructional strategies, as needed, tomaximize probability of student success. Recognizes the special needs of students, seeks the assistance of district specialists, as needed and/orrequired, and makes appropriate individualized physical and instructional accommodations within theclassroom. May serve on building-level and district-wide committees, e.g., curriculum resource adoption andcurriculum writing. Builds effective relationships with parents and students through regular communication and is availableto students and parents for education-related purposes, e.g., open house, conferences, extra-curricularactivities. Other duties that may be assigned by the building principal Qualifications Valid State of Illinois Professional Educator’s License (PEL) with required content endorsements(Bilingual Education – Spanish required) Master’s Degree of Education Experience teaching Language Arts and Mathematics at the assigned grade level(s) Ability to establish productive relationships with peers and students. Experience working with small groups in a direct instruction setting. Knowledge of and experience with data-based decision making and evidence-based research practicesfor interventions. Endorsements in content areas of Language Arts, Mathematics or in English as a Second Language orBilingual Education Salary/Benefits Salary is based on education and experience.
