Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Must have a valid Professional Educator License from Illinois State Board of Education and license must be registered in Region 07
  • Must have a Special Education/Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS 1) endorsement

 

    

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • The ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with general education teachers when developing lesson plans, adapting/modifying grade level curriculum, and delivering services to students.
  • The ability to develop lesson plans in conjunction with grade level standards, and the ability to modify grade level curriculum to address the standards along with differentiated instructional to address IEP goals and objectives.
  • Experience writing IEP goals and objectives addressing the academic needs of students.
  • The ability to structure a classroom to maximize student learning.
  • Effective behavior management skills.
  • The ability to coordinate job duties and work collaboratively with classroom assistant to address student needs.

Salary/Benefits

Salary Range:  $48,218-$54,615

Benefits Include: Medical, Vision, Dental, Paid Sick Leave, Parental Leave, FSA or HSA, Life Insurance, Tuition Reimbursement.
