Duties
An ideal candidate:
- supports the mission of Providence St. Mel by employing high expectations that all students can and will learn.
- employs effective classroom management techniques to create the optimum learning environment.
- prepares and executes lessons, exposing students to higher order thought processes.
- is skilled in best practices and differentiated instruction.
- is a content expert, teaching comprehensive curriculum including listening, speaking, reading and writing skills
- keeps accurate records and communicates well with colleagues and families on student progress.
- is passionate about teaching and positively impacting the lives of children.
- has experience using SmartBoard technology.
Qualifications
Teachers must have a current Illinois teaching certificate or license.
