Job Summary
The Director of Business Operations will oversee the financial and administrative operations of an educational institution. They will play a crucial role in managing budgets, ensuring financial compliance, and optimizing resource allocation. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong financial acumen, and the ability to collaborate effectively with staff and stakeholders to support the school’s mission and objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, monitor, and manage the school’s annual budget.
- Prepare financial reports and statements for school administrators and governing bodies.
- Manage contract and employment agreements
- Handle procurement processes, obtain competitive bids, and negotiate vendor contracts.
- Prepare reports for government agencies, auditors, and other stakeholders.
- Stay updated on changes in education finance laws and regulations.
- Provide data-driven insights to inform decision-making.
- Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and staff to address financial and operational needs.
- Complete the financial profile reporting.
- Complete the district Tax Levy Report.
- Communicate budgetary information to stakeholders, including parents and the school board.
- Represent the school in financial matters and attend relevant meetings.
- Collaborate with the food services, maintenance and transportation directors.
- Prepare Financial Forecast for district and Cash Flow Analysis.
- Manage and update the Risk Care Management Plan.
- Complete the transportation claim with director of transportation
- Provide Administrative Support with FOIA requests.
- Prepare financial information and participate in negotiations.
- Collaborate with maintenance director and oversee capital projects.
- Manage the finance department and support staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent.
Salary/Benefits
$90,000 per year - Entry Level
This is a 12 month position
(Final Salary to be determined by the Board of Education - based on the candidate's experience & education)
