Duties
Assistant Director's duties include (but not limited to) the supervision, planning, coordination, implementation, training, budgeting, and evaluation of the district's special education, English as a second language, gifted/talented, health service, and all programs & staff related to students' needs. The Assistant Director is a district office team position which includes professional development, program compliance, evaluation of staff, and communication with the superintendent, Board of Education, the special education cooperative, and community.
Qualifications
Experience in public school teaching and administration. Experience with special education, ESL, gifted and health services preferred. Type 75 with special education background and Illinois State approved Special Education Director Certificate required.
